Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between a business that uses Cyrano and us. Cyrano is run by Elevate Digital Media AB, organisation number 559416-7792, Fagerstagatan 58, 163 53 Stockholm, Sweden. Contact: support@meetcyrano.com.
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between Elevate Digital Media AB (“we”, “us”) and the business that creates a Cyrano account or connects a store to Cyrano (“you”). The date at the top of this page names this version.
2. What Cyrano does
Cyrano is a customer service agent for online stores. It reads your shoppers’ messages from your helpdesk, Zendesk or Gorgias, looks up your store’s data in Shopify, and drafts replies.
Depending on how you set up each agent, it sends replies to your shoppers and takes actions in your store, such as a refund or an address change, either on its own or only after you approve them.
What Cyrano can do in your store is limited to the permissions you grant when you connect it.
3. What you allow Cyrano to do
By connecting your store and your helpdesk, you allow us to read your store’s customer, order and product data and your helpdesk’s tickets, and to store what Cyrano needs for its work, as our Data Processing Agreement describes.
You also allow Cyrano to write to your shoppers in your name through your helpdesk, and to make the changes in your store that you have switched on, in the way you set them up.
You are responsible for making sure your shoppers know they are talking to an AI, and for not presenting Cyrano’s replies as written by a person.
You can change these settings, or disconnect your store or helpdesk, at any time in Cyrano.
4. Your data
We use your data and your shoppers’ data only to provide Cyrano to you. We do not use it to train AI models, we do not analyse it across merchants, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising.
Our Data Processing Agreement is part of these terms. Where these terms and the Data Processing Agreement differ about personal data, the Data Processing Agreement applies.
The Data Processing Agreement sets out what personal data Cyrano reads, stores and shares for you, and with whom. Our Privacy Policy covers the personal data we decide about ourselves.
5. Price
The price of Cyrano is not set yet. We charge nothing until a price is set, and before we charge you anything we tell you the price and you choose whether to agree to it.
6. Warranty and liability
We provide Cyrano “as is”. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that every reply it writes or action it takes will be right.
We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost revenue. Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the higher of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 100.
These limits do not apply where the law does not allow liability to be limited, such as for harm caused on purpose or by gross negligence.
7. Ending the agreement
You can end this agreement at any time: remove Cyrano from your Shopify store, disconnect your helpdesk, and tell us at support@meetcyrano.com that you want your account closed.
We can end it by telling you so by email, at the address on your Cyrano account.
When you remove Cyrano from your Shopify store, Shopify tells us, and we erase your store’s shopper data within 30 days, as the Data Processing Agreement describes. When you ask us to close your account, we delete it within 30 days, as the Data Processing Agreement describes, and before we do, we can give you a copy if you ask.
8. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Before a change that affects you takes effect, we email the address on your Cyrano account. If you keep using Cyrano after it takes effect, the new terms apply.
9. Law and courts
Swedish law applies to these terms. Any dispute about them goes to the Swedish courts, with the Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as the first court to hear it.
